PAWSITIVELY HEAVEN PET RESORT TO HOLD FIRST ANNUAL WINTER WISH LIST DROP-OFF FOR ANIMAL WELFARE LEAGUE
October 20, 2008 – Pawsitively Heaven Pet Resort, Inc. will hold the First Annual Winter Wish List Drop Off to benefit the Animal Welfare League. Wish List items will be collected on Friday, November 7, 2008, from 10:00am to 6:00pm and on Saturday, November 8, 2008, from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Donations may be dropped off in the parking lot of the resort or at the Animal Welfare League, 10305 Southwest Highway, in Chicago Ridge. In addition to Wish List items, monetary donations may also be dropped off (please make all checks payable to Animal Welfare League).
The Animal Welfare League Wish List items include kennel, veterinary, shelter and office supplies, as well as “Big Wish Items,” such as air cleaners, push carts, digital cameras, and power washers. Animal Welfare League does not receive any state or federal funding. It relies on the generosity of supporters to provide quality care and services to abandoned, homeless and needy animals.

HOWL-O-WEEN PARTY & FUNDRAISER
October 17, 2008 – On Sunday, October 26, 2008, Advances in Animal Behavior is sponsoring a Howl-O-Ween Party and Fundraiser to benefit Chicagoland Shepherd Rescue (www.gsdr.org). The event will be held from Noon until 3:00pm at Pawsitively Heaven Pet Resort, 10051 Kitty Avenue, in Chicago Ridge, Illinois.
Come out with your pooch to a grand costume party! You will raise money for charity and have a doggone good time. Your admission includes a doggy loot bag, raffle ticket, snacks, many canine games and costume contests. Impressive prizes will be awarded. Additional raffle tickets will be on sale at the party. Tarot card reading will also be available.
Admission Fees: $15.00 pre-registration; $25.00 at the door; $10 per extra canine family member
Advances in Animal Behavior has been helping Chicagoland dog owners to train their pets since 1995. Kristen Phillips, owner of Advances in Animal Behavior, believes that education and positive reinforcement are the key ingredients in pet training.
